Kit and Ace Acquired by Unity Brands

Vancouver-based Kit and Ace has been acquired by Unity Brands, helmed by Canadian fashion designer and entrepreneur Joe Mimran. Founded in 2014 by Shannon and J.J. Wilson, the wife and son of Lululemon founder Chip Wilson, Kit and Ace has established itself as a notable player in the market.

Under the terms of the agreement, David Lui will assume the role of CEO at Kit and Ace. In a move to consolidate creative development and design efforts, these functions will be relocated to Toronto under the management of Joe Mimran. The relocation is expected to enhance the brand’s creative vision and align it with the industry’s evolving trends and consumer demands.

The acquisition of Kit and Ace by Unity Brands, driven by the astute leadership of Joe Mimran and his retail-focused team, highlights their commitment to expanding their presence in the apparel sector. This strategic move not only capitalizes on the reputation and success of Kit and Ace, but also leverages the combined expertise of both organizations to maximize growth and market opportunities.
