Scope of Mandate
Rise Vision is a cloud-based digital signage software provider that largely focuses on the education sector. Rise Vision engaged IJW to explore exit opportunities as the company’s President and main shareholder was looking to retire in the coming years.
Situation Overview
IJW canvassed the global digital signage sector and adjacent verticals to find the best partner and acquirer for Rise Vision. The campaign yielded over a dozen bids for the acquisition of Rise Vision, from both strategic acquirers and private equity sponsors.
Client Outcome
Eventually, the decision was made that selected AUO, a publicly traded Taiwan-based provider of optoelectronic solutions with over 7,000 employees, as the winning bidder. AUO was deemed to be the best partner for our client due to the strategic merits of the transaction for both parties. AUO was looking to expand its footprint in the North American education market and Rise Vision provided exactly that. Our client was also able to achieve a deal structure that allowed shareholders to maximize value while being able to plan for succession appropriately.
